Watts Health Center is headquarters for medical and administrative services offered by the Watts Healthcare Corporation. The center, one of the first community health centers in the United States, is a 63,000 square-foot facility that houses a staff of 300 and offers a full range of services including clinical, preventive, specialty, and ancillary services.
Same Day services include adult medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and urgent care.
Preventive services promoting health maintenance and education include: cancer screening, tobacco control, substance abuse prevention, tuberculosis control, immunizations, maternal and child health, and nutrition education.
Specialty services include Dental, Physical Therapy, optometry, podiatry and behavioral health which includes individual and group counseling and substance abuse treatment services.
Ancillary and Support services include Radiology (X-Ray and Ultrasound), Laboratory services, referrals, and substance abuse treatment support..
Watts Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center, is certified as a Patient Centered medical Home for its quality of care and has been designated by the American Diabetes Association as a place for diabetic education under the Education Recognition Program (ERP).
Watts Health Center is an FTCA deemed facility, Congress enacted FTCA medical malpractice protection for Federally-supported health centers through the Federally Supported Health Centers Assistance Act (FSHCAA) of 1992 (P.L. 102-501) and FHSCAA of 1995 (P.L. 104-73), later codified as 42 U.S.C. Section 233 (a) – (n).
