Administrative Assistant

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Acts as liaison between the Director of Nursing and internal and external publics in the resolution of problems and/or coordination of programmatic activities.
  • Collects, analyzes and interprets data relative to designated issues/projects of the department. Basic statistical knowledge and analysis required for designated projects.
  • Completes reports, maintains clinic department manuals, prepares/updates policies and procedures.
  • Develops and maintains a centralized library of external resources and documents. For example, regulatory and compliance records, grant funded progress reports, newsletter, directories, auditing tools, trade publications, public information notices etc.
  • Records, prepares and distributes staff meeting minutes for clinical departments.
  • Screens office and telephone callers, greets the public and schedules meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) with emphasis in Public Administration, Public Health, Public Relations or related field.
  • Five (5) years in an administrative capacity in health care or general administrative management. Experience in preparing high level reports and presentations.

Confidential Payroll/Accounting Technician

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reviews time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
  • Verifies attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and posts information onto designated records.
  • Processes and issues employee paychecks and statements or earnings and deductions.
  • Uses payroll/accounting software to record, process, store and analyze information
  • Classify, record and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records.
  • Complies with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations.

Key Requirements:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent with at least twelve (12) units of Accounting at the community college level or higher.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Payroll Technician. Accounts Payable experience a plus.

Counselor I

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interview clients for intake work-ups and social history.
  • Assume responsibility for a full caseload of clients with regularly scheduled counseling appointments.
  • Provide case management and individual counseling services to clients and family.
  • Collect and document submission of urine samples.
  • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS counseling.
  • Responsible for providing substance abuse counseling and rehabilitation services under the direction of the Supervising Counselor.

Key Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED. Certificate in substance abuse counseling (CCAPP).
  • MINIMUM of one (1) year experience as a counselor or equivalent position in substance abuse recovery program.

Dental Assistant

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assisting doctors with examinations and other nursing procedures; collecting and labeling laboratory specimens in accordance with laws and policies.
  • Maintaining complete and accurate patient records.

  • Administering EKG’s, IV therapy, checks patient’s vital signs, catheterization and irrigation.

Registered Dental Assistant-Bilingual

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist Prevention Specialist II with the After-School curriculum, activities and recreational outings.

  • May act as a liaison between the youth in community and external agencies by distributing information materials and/or engage community agencies to empower or provide leadership opportunities for youth.

  • Must be between the ages of 18-25.

Confidential Executive Secretary

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as liaison between the Director of Customer Service and internal and external publics in the resolution of problems and/or coordination of programmatic activities.
  • Collects, analyzes and interprets data relative to designated issues/projects of the department. Basic statistical knowledge and analysis required for designated projects.
  • Coordinates logistics for external activities and events, including preparation of promotional materials for external agencies (i.e. audits, workshops, forums, receptions and site-visits). Responsible for preparing event materials and packages, including recording and maintaining written proceedings.
  • Conducts various office functions ranging from screening office and telephone calls, to maintaining office files and handling outgoing/incoming mail.

LVN Case Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure appropriate Case Management of care for members in clinic settings.
  • Review daily hospital census based on assignment and ensures post hospital follow-up visit is obtained timely.
  • Experience in disease management, tracking and trending, reporting on frequent admissions and emergency department visits. Initiating care plans and familiar with post hospital discharge protocol.
  • Facilitates open communication with other nurses and UM Technician support within the department to ensure coordination of care for members.

Podiatrist

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Diagnoses and treats foot, ankle and other related structures using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays and laboratory results.
  • Treats conditions such as corns, calluses, ingrown nails, tumors, bunions, cysts and abscesses by surgical methods.
  • Correct deformities by means of plaster casts and strapping.
  • Advises patients about treatments and foot care techniques to prevent future problems.
  • Educates the public about the benefits of foot care through techniques such as speaking engagements, advertising and other forums.
  • Records all diagnoses and treatments.

 

Key Requirements:

  • California State Physician and Surgeon’s certificate issued by the Board of Medical Examiners of the State of California.
  • Completion of a residency or fellowship approved by an American Specialty Board in Podiatry.

Prevention Specialist

Primary Responsibilities:

Senior Counselor

Primary Responsibilities:

Site Supervisor

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Enrolls and certifies high risk WIC participants in a timely manner and low-risk participants as needed.
  • Conducts in-depth high-to-complex nutritional assessments of participants identified with level 3 and/or 4 risks.
  • Evaluates dietary intakes, reviews appropriate medical, clinical, and health information for determining risk level and provides nutrition interventions that corresponds to nutrition conditions.
  • Develops high risk nutrition care plan for nutritional improvement and documents in the Individual Nutrition Care Plan (INEP) in the Integrated State Information System (ISIS) computer system.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nutrition related field required. Master’s degree in a nutrition related field or Public Health preferred.
  • Must have at least (1) year’s work experience in the field of food nutrition and/or dietetics. Must have at least (1) year’s work experience in nutrition and breastfeeding dealing with individual counseling and teaching a class.

Manager, Utilization and Case Management

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides day to day oversight to utilization management. Motivates and leads the referral and case management staff in setting and reaching goals for continuous improvement.
  • Develops strategies for maintaining referral turnaround times, as well as meeting and / or exceeding parameters set by the Health plan, State / Federal regulatory agencies and NCQA (PCMH).
  • Work with physicians, social workers and nursing staff to provide optimal review based on patient needs.
  • Monitors high risk / high utilizing patients in regards to referrals and identifies and facilitates appropriate referrals to supportive programs.
  • Coordinates projects and performs activities as delegated by the quality management committee and the COO, Medical Director and clinical department heads.
  • Assist in quality assurance processes and education of utilization and case management staff.

Key Requirements:

  • Current valid License as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Case management and quality improvement experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with automated systems, including electronic medical records and MS Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook.

Quality Assurance Specialist

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Development and implement chart monitoring and program compliance tools.
  • Develop internal audits that track compliance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for SUD programs.
  • Assist to plan, direct and coordinate data processing activities, including programming or billing, utilizing the County’s SAGE system.
  • Ensure Title 22 compliance for Drug Medi-Cal programs.
  • Maintain contract files and required documents.
  • Collaborate with the IT Department to ensure electronic health record charting, invoicing/billing and program requirements are met.
  • Provide staff training, as needed, to comply with audit standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Social Services or related field preferred.
  • 3 years similar quality assurance or billing experience.
  • Ability to write comprehensive reports and policies, study and interpret legal documents.

Optical Technician

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Takes case histories on patients, updates patients’ charts with current treatment information, and instructs patients in home care prescribed by the clinician.
  • Prepares patients for examination, treatment, or surgery; places medicated drops into patients’ eyes; sets out and passes instruments to the ophthalmologist; cleans ophthalmology instruments and observes for malfunctions, insuring all instruments are properly calibrated.
  • Conducts visual acuity evaluations and automated refractions on new and returning patients as directed.

Key requirements:

  • Degree or certification of completion from a recognized optical technology or optometric technology training program preferred.
  • 2-3 years working experience in an Optometrist setting, health clinic preferred.
