What is WISEWOMAN?

In partnership with California Department of Public Health, our WISEWOMAN program aims to empower women between the ages of 35-64 years old who are at risk of cardiovascular disease with free, preventive heart and stroke risk screenings and lifestyle support.

Through WISEWOMAN, all participants will receive free screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar (glucose),
and BMI.

Why it matters

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death among women, responsible for 1 in every 3 deaths each year. That means it affects our mothers, sisters, friends, neighbors, coworkers — the women who matter most in our lives. While some women are impacted at higher rates than others, the encouraging reality is that many forms of cardiovascular disease can be prevented through education, early awareness, and healthy lifestyle choices.
